Virtual IEDs – IEC61850 Configuration & Engineering

Using Virtual IEDs concept, IEC61850 Specification can be extended beyond substation Specification, to IED capabilities and models. During this webinar we shall discuss how the physical IED capabilities can be compared against virtual IED specification. Performing full IEC61850 Engineering using virtual IEDs and later replacing them with real manufacturer IED configurations, also will be demonstrated during this webinar. Utilizing this concept, we shall discuss how IEC61850 Substation configuration templates can be prepared in a vendor and IED independent fashion.
