Applied Systems Engineering, Inc. (ASE) is a technology leader in the manufacture of RTU / IED protocol test equipment for the SCADA industry and the development of communication protocol translators and front-end processors.

ASE2000 RTU Test Sets
ASE's protocol and communication test products are currently in use worldwide by RTU and IED equipment manufactures, electric power utilities, and SCADA system vendors.
SPT- SCADA Protocol Translators
Solutions for protocol translation requirements, SPT-PC and SPT4-NET, support bit and byte protocols and operate over both serial and network communication networks.
SAM Annunciator
The Substation Alarm Manager (SAM) provides Power Utilities with a simple way to show the current status and data within a substation.
Bell 202 Modems
Bell 202 modems, Bell 202T modems and V.23 modems designed for operation over leased line communication circuits as commonly used in the electrical power and pipeline SCADA industries.
IEC 61860-6 Visual SCL
Visual SCL is a graphical tool that allows the creation, editing and viewing of IEC 61850 SCL files without requiring knowledge of the underlying XML syntax.
Serial I/O Cards
ASE produces a specialty line of serial I/O cards which are designed specifically for the SCADA communications industry.
Supported Protocols
DNP 3.0 and IEC 60870-5-101 and over 100 other legacy RTU and IED protocols are operational on the ASE2000 Test Sets, subsets of these protocols implemented on the SPT4-NET and SPT-PC.
