ASE2000 Communication Test Set Software - Standard Version

Download the latest release of the Standard Version of the ASE2000 Communication Test Set. This service is available currently licensed users of the ASE2000, or to those who need to view a capture file. The software requires the ASE2000 hardware and licence key to operate.

To View capture files, no hardware is required, however you will have to contact ASE for a licence key to view the captured data in the correct protocol format.

Current Standard Version of the ASE2000 Communication Test Set software is Version 1.52, File size approximately 45 MB. Please note: Version 1.52 requires the latest Microsoft System Installer (MSI v 3.1). Please click here to install MSI software.

ASE2000 Standard Version Download - ASE2000 Communication Test Set software

IMPORTANT NOTES
Version 1.32 and above, Standard and Trial Versions.
READ CAREFULLY!

Beginning with ASE2000 Version 1.32, the Data Base access mechanism for supporting the permanent database store facility associated with the "Point View" display has changed (ADO vs. DAO). In most cases this will be transparent and require no additional steps.

However, if the necessary software is not installed, the ASE2000 software will not operate correctly. In some cases it will display the error message "ADO Exception" or something relating to an ADO problem and continue to operate. In other cases, it will display an error message and terminate. If the necessary MDAC routines are not present, these error conditions will occur as soon as the test set is started.

Computers running under Windows ME, Windows 2000, XP or Vista will have all necessary data base support routines already installed. Also, computers with the latest version of MS Access or MS SQL Server installed will also have the necessary data base support routines already installed.

If you do not have the necessary data base support routines - MDAC (Microsoft Data Access Components) and an data base engine such as MS Jet 3.5 or 4.0 installed, you can download and install the following two files:

Trial Version Introduction - Describes procedure for downloading, installing, and running the ASE Trial Version. Also contains required Protocol License and Password.

SentinelProtectionInstaller7.6.1.zip - Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista I/O driver for the SafeNet Sentinel Security Plug. This driver is used in conjunction with ASE2000-COM model test sets to enable the ASE2000 software and supports both the parallel port and USB security plug . File size approximately 6.2MB.

UnZIP the downloaded file onto a flash drive or into a temp directory on your C drive to create a Driver Installation folder and specify the location of the drive and folder when prompted by Windows for the location of the I/O driver.

!!! Windows 2000 / XP / Vista - PLEASE NOTE !!!

The drivers are not "signed" by Microsoft and, depending on the security settings of your system, this could prevent installation, generate a warning, or allow installation. The default is to generate a warning. Please do not abort the installation

Win7-bcom-usb-drivers.zip - Windows 7 (32 and 64 bit drivers and installation guide) for the ASE BCOM-USB device for use with the ASE2000-USB-M and ASE2000-USB-RS models of the ASE2000 test set. Note: These drivers are Digitally Signed by Applied Systems Engineering. UnZIP the downloaded files onto a flash drive or into a temp directory. Please be sure to follow the Windows 7 I/O Driver installation procedures as documented in the BCOM-USB Device User Guide (Version 1.3 or greater) for correct Windows 7 installation.
